Fantastic campus, terrible students union.
Pros:Campus is wonderful, love the ducks and accomodation and buildings are generally nice. York is also one of the nicest cities in the country and (with the exception of only good night life) is great for students.
Cons:Students Union (YUSU) is totally useless, never done anything well and a complete unorganised mess. The University higher ups are also fairly non-caring for the students. 2021's "safety net" was a complete fustercluck and a joke. Also, Campus East is about as inspiring place to live and work as a car park.
Suggestions:East campus should be demolished and replaced with nicer buildings. YUSU should be dissolved and replaced with a real students union with power to change things.
